Cafe Aquatica: Dining and Aquariums

Café Aquatica

Café Aquatica at The Promenade in San Juan, Greenhills is a restaurant which us, The Ang Sens frequently visit.

Bagnet Chips

Fish Tanks and Aquariums

We love going to Café Aquatica. It is because it is a concept restaurant which features a fish shop within its restaurant—something that we find very interesting.

In the same way that we find the dining area very compelling, as it is surrounded with aquariums and fish tanks.

Diners, therefore, do not only feast their eyes on the food but with the prized-fishes around them, as well.

In addition to that, guests take delight in watching the fishes swim, as they wait for their order.

Most noteworthy, is Café Aquatica’s ambiance which is cathartic, I must say.

The color scheme of the interiors, as it is, is easy on the eyes.

The neutral decor encourages a relaxing mood for the guests. In like manner, the blue and yellow hues give that very much marine and sand bar appeal.

Most of all, the place is appealing to both grown-ups and children.

My family –and that would be the three of us -feel at home in this type of dining experience.

As a result, we have dined there, many times. In fact, we have already picked out a favorite table. The table by which we think, gives us a great view of our favorite aquarium.

My son, has probably named one of the fishes in the aquarium, already.

On one area of the restaurant, stands a predominantly blue colored fish tank. My son calls it “The Blue Tank With The Blue Light”, as in the movie “Finding Dory”.

We keep on going back to Café Aquatica because my husband and my son love their bagnet chips.

One of the main reasons why we frequent this restaurant is this:

The Bagnet Chips with Rice

Cafe Aquatica's Bagnet Rice

Café Aquatica’s Bagnet Chips is actually fried pork belly cut into bacon-like strips.

The bagnet chips has no doubt a nice and delicious crunch to it.

It is served with fried rice, sunny side up, a dipping sauce, and scoop of chopped tomatoes and onions.

In Café Aquatica, bagnet chips is arguably the best dish for us.

The other dishes which we have tried there, were the:

Homemade Pork Patties

HomeMade Pork Patties

Beef Tapa

Baked Penne

Spicy Seafood Pasta

Linguini alla Carbonara

We go there mostly for lunch and once in a while, we get dessert.

You will get hooked (pardon the pun) on Café Aquatica.
