Filipiniana Costumes For Children

Buwan ng Wika is a challenge, to parents of school children, in this country. My husband and I are, just one, of the many parent-challengers.

First, as I have mentioned from previous posts, I am not a native speaker of Filipino, because we speak Cebuano in our house (in the province).

So forgive me, President Quezon and Gat Jose Rizal but I still am learning my Filipino language, despite my age. ( diction, enunciation and grammar)

( Medyo nakakanosebleed din ang Wikang Filipino, so be kind to me when you say, “panuto”. I am slow with directions in Filipino.)

So when Buwan ng Wika takes place, with Filipino long tests and Araling Panlipunan in tow, I take my vitamins, in double dosage.

Fortunately, my husband, even with his Chinese lineage, speaks fluent Filipino from the “malalim to the mababaw”. ( Thank youTondo, pinanggagalingan ng maraming Katipunero.)

Second, THE COSTUUUUUUUME! The Filipiniana Costume!

Once again, I am fortunate to have a husband, who goes through his way, to buy his son’s costume. He bought it, in Quiapo.

Aha, so the national capital for children’s costume, is therefore, Quiapo.

It turned out, the store my husband went to, was owned by someone we knew.
