Quezon Filipino and Spanish Buffet

.

Before my brother and my sister-in-law left for abroad, our big family had a (get-together) buffet lunch at Quezon Filipino and Spanish Restaurant.

Quezon Restaurant is at the second floor of the Fisher Mall, in Quezon Avenue, West Triangle, Quezon City.

Apparently, the restaurant is partly owned by Chef Laudico Guevarra of Gueverra’s.

The ambience is reminiscent of the Filipino-Spanish era. It is like dining at your grandmother’s ancestral house.

The buffet tables are set according to the appetizers, main courses, carvings, grills, beverages and desserts.

The restaurant serves Spanish and Filipino cuisine, in an eat-all-you-can-buffet-style of dining.

Thus, the usual lechon belly, Cebu Lechon and paella were present.

The main course also included bangus, pork and chicken sisig.

There were also inihaw na gulay, kare-kare, adobo, bagnet, pinoy barbecue, angus beef tapa, pancit canton, callos and dinakdakan.

The appetizers included crispy kangkong, vegetable lumpia, and tokwa at baboy.

The dessert station was filled with churros, brazo de mercedes, halaya, ice cream, brownies, fresh fruits and leche flan.

Like every buffet restaurant that my family and I have been to, not all dishes present, would serve our liking.

There would be stand-outs of course and then there would be the so and so dishes.

The lechon belly, bulalo steak, Cebu Lechon, the bagnet and the pork binagoongan, were my favorite and my family’s too. ( that is how carnivore-a-family we are)

Buffet table plus big funny family equals quality time!

It always has been a pleasurable experience to dine with my parents and siblings but it was even made more pleasant with the matching surroundings.

The ambience was perfect for my big family. It was like casually sitting down with my family, by our long narra table, back home.
