You know how traffic is like here in Manila? Travel time plus traffic minutes equals one whole movie time. Just recently, on our way to watch a movie, my husband and I, got stuck in traffic. My husband who was getting anxious then, asked me, ” If we wont be on time for Hangover 2, then let us watch the film Super 8.”

I looked up ahead and realized that we really were so stuck, right there in the middle of EDSA. So I had to say ” Oh, well at the rate that we are going and if traffic still persisted, we might not be able to catch EVEN Super 8.” BUT, we will be just in time for another movie, GREEN LANTERN (Which was of course showing the next seek on the 16th !)

Clark Kent gets in a phone booth and becomes SUPERMAN. My husband gets into our car and comes home as “THE INCREDIBLE HULK”. Either a tricycle, driven by Michael Schumacher would cross his path or a cab, driven by Kyle Busch raced with him, barely scraping his car.

Maybe a bike surprisingly , appears in the middle of Edsa. Or a man, suddenly crosses the highway and stops right in front of you. And before you succumbed to a heart failure, you could still muster a, ” Saan nanggaling YUN? (“Where did THAT come from?”) These are just one of the many David Blaine moments on the road here in Manila.

“When a man opens the door of his car for his wife, you can be sure of one thing: either the car is new or the wife.” My experience reconstructs this old joke…

This was this one time, after being stuck in traffic and finally making it into the mall’s parking lot, my husband Richard eagerly got off the car. He immediately checked his bag,his phone , pressed his keys, locked the car and hurried off inside. Well, only to come back after a few seconds for He realized he has forgotten something or someone…ME!

Good old me, in there, with my Viper look -totally locked INSIDE the car.
