On #Blogapalooza 2013

The various rewards when going to an event attended by an overwhelming number of people are the greater possibilities of course in experiencing new things, seeing popular personalities, meeting other individuals and maybe forming new friendships.

Blogapalooza 2013 was that and more.

It was that much needed respite from the heart-breaking and catastrophic aftermath of a storm, as I listened to the amusing quips of funny person Mr. Tim Tayag, extra rice and more;

Need not mention the clever antics of Mr. Bogart the Explorer of Davao City, -even for a few minutes, yey mayt!

It was also of course about seeing a familiar face like:

Or having visited booths of products and places that my family and I actually patronized.

Though there were many, two of which I must mention:

1. THE MIND MUSEUM

The Mind Museum never ever lost its appeal to my five year old son given that he would easily lose interest on anything novelty.

Then I guess for my son the museum is a classic.

He had been to The Mind Museum at the Fort twice, first time when he was around three years old and the second time when he was around four.

This year he was not able to and thus he constantly prods us to no end, -to bring him back there.

And having gone to the museum twice had its advantages.

I was able to take home a gift for having answered a trivia question pertaining to the musuem.

Thank you for this beautiful notebook from The Mind Museum.

2. GAVINO’S  DOUGHNUTS

The Gavino’s Japanese Doughnut is a happy thought for my five year old son.

Once a week, my husband treats my son to two pieces of this soft chewy japanese doughnut at their shop along Banawe in Quezon City which is situated near our kid’s school.

My son Rafa, after school at Gavino’s in Banawe, Q.C.

It made my son Rafa, genuinely happy seeing his favorite doughnuts.

( -which I brought home for free. Thank you, Gavino’s .)

In retrospect, in the midst of a throng of happy people armed with loot bags and freebies while surrounded with delectable dishes,

I have to say the event was made even relevant and purposeful by that piggybank which organizers placed for bloggers and business owners who wished to give cash donations for our countrymen affected by typhoon Haiyan. ( Yolanda )

Blogapalooza organizers, Mr. Vince Golangco of Wheninmanila.com and Mr. Anton Diaz of Ourawesomeplanet.com should be lauded not only for bringing bloggers and business owners together this 2013
but also for that goal of matching up cash donations that will be sent to our countrymen in Leyte and Samar.

God bless you and continue to keep doing what you do best!
