To the love of my life,
There are just three best parts of my day:
In the mornings,
I peer on my right and trace with my fingertips, the most loving face one could ever wake up to
I wait for those lashes to flutter and those eyelids to open so I could be the first to say, “Goodmorning sweetie, I love you”
And I just look up to the heavens and say, “Thank You for beautiful mornings like these.”
In the afternoons,
I am filled with joy as the door opens and you walk in, after a day spent at work
I smile after terribly missing being with you the whole day
And once again I look up to the heavens with gratitude
and say, “thank you for keeping him safe”
In the evenings…
I listen to your voice as you relate the day’s end
I savour our conversation and arguments as evening approaches
And I just roll back into your arms and look up to the heavens
and say “Lord, thank you for a beautiful day.
I spent it thinking and praying for the one I love, Richard”
I love you sweetie!
My days have never been happier.
