Judge The Book By Its Cover

If I were to go back in time and be in my grade five class room, I would identify the girls in my classroom according to the two types of book we read:

1. The girls who read Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys Mystery Books

AND

2. The girls who read Sweet Dreams Romantic Novels

But well fortunately , I WAS BOTH.

I enjoyed both worlds.

And how about you?

Were you into the love story- romance books

or were you into the sleuth- mystery ones?

If those books were part of your childhood , would you able to recognize them just by their covers?

Try remembering these Nancy Drew Book Covers:

Were you able to guess them all correctly?

4. The Moonstone Castle Mystery
5. The Bungalow Mystery
6. The Clue Of The Dancing Puppet
7. The Secret Of The Old Clock
8. The Clue In The Jewel Box

10. The Tower Treasure

Maybe if the covers were that of beautiful faces , it would be hard to forget.

I scored high here.
I guess I remembered the faces of the heroines too well.

1. Wrong Way Romance – Sherri Cobb South
2. P.S. I Love You – Barbara Conklin
3. The Popularity Plan – Rosemary Vernon
4. Laurie’s Song – Debra Brand
5. Love Match – Janet Quin-Harkin
6. Ten-Boy Summer – Janet Quin-Harkin
7. The Trouble With Charlie – Jaye Ellen
8. Mr. Wonderful – Fran Michaels
9.Perfect Match – Marian Woodruff
10. Kiss Me, Creep – Marian Woodruff

“Password to Larkspur Lane” is my Number one Nancy Drew Book.
“The Missing Chums” on the other hand is my favorite Hardy Boys Story.

” The Popularity Plan” and “Ten Boy Summer” will always be my favorite Sweet Dreams Books.

But P.S. I Love You was my first heart break.

Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys and Sweet Dreams will always remind me of that carefree life when I was younger and things were all simple and free.
