Back in our house, situated in a humble barangay by the river, Noche Buena has always been the same – just as it had been when we were small children.
Our long narra table stood witness to many traditional Christmas eve dinners we have had.
Our mom would always make sure on Christmas eve, she prepared each of her eight children’s favorite dish.
( yes, even those who might not have made it home for Christmas. )

More than having these dishes present in our long narra table, our Noche Buena feast is in thanksgiving for God’s grace and for this beautiful gift called family.
